Where Is The Swelling Really Coming From – A Case Study – Eradicating The Causes – Seal series dominated the month.
The most important thing to remember is that micro-organisms cause infection. Somehow the various types of bacteria have entered the body via the root canal. So there are three aspects of eradicating the causes.
We will explore the seal of the tooth for this week’s blog. The decay was not obvious under the filling at first, but when source of the infection was figured out, then, the filling was removed to find a “soup” of bacteria. This all had to be removed before cleaning the root canal.
It was a surprising the amount of decay that was found and the opening it created in the tooth and then into the root canal.

Then we explored how technology has enhanced our diagnostic abilities with Intra-Oral Cameras – What Can You See? A Case Study – The Filling, The Crack and The Decay and Intra-Oral Cameras – What Can You See? A Case Study – The Filling, The Crack and The Decay – Its Treatment.
This the training month for The Sydney Harbour Bridge Charity Run 2023 – Team Miroma – for Adults with Challenges and Abilities
Team Miroma will again do the Harbour Bridge Run on Sunday 17/9/2023. Team Miroma 2023 will be joined again by a long-time family friend & runner, Jo.
The event is now the ASIC Marathon Bridge Run event. The run is called a 10km Marathon. Sounds more impressive! All the runners of different distances start at the same time 6.05am. OMG. We will finish in time for breakfast!
The course is different slightly different to the previous Blackmores Run. Instead of running past the Botanical Gardens and Hyde Park we will be running around Darling Harbour and over the Pyrmont Bridge and through The Rocks onto Circular Quay. From there, we run back on to the Cahill expressway, finishing at the Opera House.
James has Autism and is non-verbal and now 25. Team Miroma is running to raise awareness of young adults with disabilities and to raise funds to help them learn more and be more.

Mind, Body, Mouth, it’s all connected | Dental Health Week 2023 with an important message, ended the month.
Seymour Dental’s motto is:
This year we are focusing on the mouth and whole-body connection. There are links between diseases in the mouth and diseases in the body. Bacteria in the mouth can travel to different sites of the body and inflammation in the mouth can increase the body’s overall inflammation.
In light of these and other findings, this year’s DHW campaign will explore six connections:
Mind, Body, Mouth, it’s all connected. Dental Health Week 2023 – Heart begins the month expanding on the dental health week message, with the heart connection.
There is a link between gum disease and heart disease.
Bacteria in the mouth can narrow blood vessels and increase the risk of heart attacks. Some medicines can also increase the risk of having gum disease.
Signs of Gum Disease:
