Congratulations on Jo completing her half marathon run at RunFest, Forster to Tuncurry.
The months of cold, dark, early mornings paid off!
The Forster 21.1kms run came with dolphins, bag pipes and her running companion, Amy.
It was a great event for everyone. Jo’ brother, James did the 10kms, Taiga her son the 5km and Simon (hubby), and the rest of the tribe did the 3kms.
They’ll all be back next year!
Meanwhile the man was training at Coogee Beach, followed by a quick dip into its “refreshing” waters.
After a session with the physiotherapist two days ago, I got the all clear to start power walking then increasing my training to running.
James has Autism and is non-verbal and now 25. Team Miroma is running to raise awareness of young adults with disabilities and to raise funds to help them learn more and be more.
All donations will go to Inala’s Eastern Suburbs service – Miroma and are tax deductible. The donations are allocated to providing a flexible range of person-centred services, programs and lifestyle supports that help individuals living with disability to reach their full potential.
If you or family or friends would like to sponsor us all, that would be great. Donations can also be sent to Miroma by logging on to the website at https://inala.org.au/get-involved/make-a-donation/
