Gillian has been with us all her dental student life, the last 4 years. She has mainly worked Saturday morning, but also other days on university break. She has been a great help at the practice, and now will soon have a…
Licence to Drill
She has been able to keep up with the stresses of dentistry and has been great with patients and staff, with her Canadian friendliness. She will be leaving us for her home on the other side of the world, and will be greatly missed.
However, just when you thought the intense studying will be over; in Canada, you need to pass the board exams to practice. So, Australian exams aren’t good enough for you!
I have been raising money for my son James’ day programme provider, Miroma, part of Inala, for many years. This has been done by running the 10km Harbour Bridge Run in September. Last year Covid changed all that. A virtual 10km run was done along the mighty Cooks River! Well, it’s not exactly the same as the Harbour Bridge but it does have bridges.
Gillian was kind enough to run with me. I only found out on the day that she runs 20km quite frequently. She hardly raised a sweat, but she helped me complete the course which I will always be grateful for.
From all of us at Seymour Dental we wish you all the very best for your upcoming Australian exams and the homecoming Canadian ones too.
We will see Gillian at our Christmas party before she leaves our shores.
Have a great career and a great life.
