926 – Individually made tray – medicaments
This is a tray usually custom made from a model of their teeth or supporting gums of either jaw. This allows medicaments to be applied closely to the site of concern.
927 – Provision of medication/medicaments
This is an additional item that is the actual supply, prescription, or administration of medication and medicaments for dental purposes. Some medicaments include take home bleach materials, fluoride, antiseptics and so on. This also includes prescription of antibiotics or analgesics.
Note: It’s always important to finish antibiotics otherwise strong bacteria are left behind which may become resistant to future treatments. This is a worldwide problem. One day a simple dental infection may kill! (This is what happened before antibiotics were invented).
928 – Intravenous cannulation and establishment of infusion
This involves a venepuncture, insertion of a cannula within the vein and achieving infusion. This is often used for sedation.
