Emergencies
911 Palliative Care – This is interim care to relieve pain, infection , bleeding, or other problems NOT found with other conditions. This also includes the treatment of ulcers.
915 After-Hours Callout – An additional item for treatment needed after normal hours. The actual treatments done are additional items. The practice only does emergencies on the weekends and public holidays from 8am to 7pm, except Christmas and Easter.
916 Travel to provide services – This additional item is for travel to provide treatment. This can include travel to an aged care facility or a person’s home. Again, treatments provided are additional items. This requires usually carrying portable equipment (almost including the kitchen sink!).
