Need an Appointment?

The practice tries to let people know an estimate of the cost of treatment. It sometimes is difficult to give an exact figure as treatment may need to be varied. Decay in a tooth may be deeper than anticipated and the nerve is exposed. A tooth being removed may be more difficult than it appears on the xray. the filling is in a difficult area. A crack is found in the after removing the decay and then requires more protection such as a crown.
Payments
We have a number of payment options available at our surgery. Payment is required at time of treatment and we accept cash and EFTPOS (including debit cards, MasterCard, Visa and American Express except Diners Club). There is no surcharge. Please note that we don’t accept cheques unless prior approval has been given.

We can process health fund claims electronically via the HICAPS on your behalf, however, please be aware that Seymour Dental takes no responsibility for your health fund rebates. Child Dental Benefits Scheme
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) commenced on 1 January 2014 and provides access to benefits for basic dental services to children aged 2-17 years.
The total benefit entitlement is capped at $1,000 per child over a two calendar year period. The CDBS has a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A (FTB-A) or a relevant Australian Government payment.
The CDBS provides individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital.

Once the treatment has been completed it is important to maintain the mouth so as to not undo all that has been done.
