As we are a professional health care facility, infection control is of the highest importance to us.

Here at Seymour Dental we strive to be a modern and safe dental practice and are strict on maintaing the recommended infection control protocols.

Our Protocols are based upon guidelines set down by the Australian Dental Association and Standards Australia. These are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.

Surgery infection control includes:

• Sharps management
• Gloves, masks, gowns
• Eye wear /Safety Glasses
• Infection control management
• Accidental injury and reporting
• Autoclave – maintenance procedure, weekly cleaning
• Sterilising room management
• Contaminated spills management
• Sterilisation and Sonic cleaning of instruments/equipment
• Contaminated waste management

Each and every member of our team has received training in all procedures and adheres to these protocols at all times.

Our equipment and surgery environment is regularly maintained to the highest standards. We go above and beyond in tracking the sterilisation of our instruments used each and every day on every patient that attends our surgery.

Our infection control protocols ensure the highest level of safety for our patients, our visitors and our staff.
