Nazli – Dental nurse and student

Hello! My name is Nazli Yashin and I am new to the Seymour Dental team.

I have just completed a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science (Hons, First Class) majoring in Anatomy and Histology at the University of Sydney, and I intend on studying Medicine in the near future. Now everyone asks me, what are the Liberal Arts? Well one of the subjects is how to write properly! Essentially the course focuses on developing skills in communication analysis and ethics.

Prior to my employment with Dr Seymour, I had worked as a casual medical receptionist and a customer service representative, so I have had some experience with the administration aspects of the job.

With a keen interest in anatomy and dissection, learning how to assist a dental surgeon in all dental procedures, including surgical extractions and dental implants, has been a new and exciting task for me. With the guidance of Dr Seymour and Dr Dilara Yashin (yes! she is my sister and the new dentist to join Seymour Dental in 2014), and the other dental nurses, I have already learnt so much in the short time that I have been here, such as infection control, the sterilisation process, as well as the prepping of surgeries prior to dental procedures.

In working with the Seymour Dental team, not only do I aim to provide exceptional personal service, but I also aim to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of dental health for general health and well-being.

I love playing the piano (particularly classical pieces), swimming, various martial arts (currently on my purple belt in Tae Kwon Do, so watch out!), baking, cake decorating, and spending time with my family and friends. I am also fluent in Turkish. Merhaba!
